Should the Federal Government Bail Out the States?

April 15th marks the deadline for payment of state and federal taxes. In conjunction with this deadline, the Utah Taxpayers Association is holding a press conference to publicize Utah’s new higher tax ranking among the 50 states and to state its position on whether the federal government should increase payments to states in order to help the states with their current budget problems.

The press conference will be conducted at 10:00 AM in front of the Utah State Tax Commission building, where taxpayers will be bringing their last-minute tax filings.
